What to do when your inkjet printer suddenly stops printing?
Technical Summary:
- Making a copy on my multi-function inkjet printer & the copy was blank!
- Copy still blank after replacing the black ink cartridge
- Copy still blank after printer level 1 & level 2 printhead cleaning

- Multi-function printer is 5 or 6 years old, so did it just die?
Solution process:
- Searching he internet ran across some tips
- Ready to replace printer if needed, but not first choice
- Followed a tip to soak/flush printhead after removing from printer
- Allowed ample time for air drying printhead – roatating to various positions for complete draining & drying
- Reinserted printhead & cartridges into printer & powered down printer
- Powered up & waited for printer to startup & responded to prompts to replace cartridges – not replacing cartridges
- Printer took longer to startup as it was priming the ink nozels
- Printer auto ran a cartridge alignment
- Ran a printer status report – SUCCESS! Printing on page!
