Worked on three computers with problems yesterday.
One remotely, one at customer site, one at my place. Busy day with morning meeting also!
Computer 1 – Windows XP, very slow – viruses found & removed, numerous temporary files deleted, Windows & Microsoft Office updates caught up, defragmented. Computer now functioning much better.
Computer 2 – dead on arrival, old Windows XP, hooked harddrive to their newer laptop & copied files – took nearly 3 hours to copy files.
Computer 3 – would not access internet, viruses found & removed, but still no internet access. Manually removed Norton product remnants & then internet access was restored
