What is wrong when my computer freezes up?

– Try clicking on the Start Button to see if it reacts.
– Try pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete & starting Task Manager
– Wait for a several minutes to see if something happens
– Did you just install a new program or piece of hardware?
– Try unplugging everything but monitor, keyboard & mouse & restart
– Do you have a space heater or something that draws power plugged into the same surge strip or wall outlet?
